Once loaded the game (at least for me) will be in between two screens, go into graphic options and enable full screen. This will make the resolution at full
Up until 1.36 or so, they would have really bad shimmering and aliasing no matter what game settings you used, even with Nvidia driver AA settings, unless you went to 400%. As the game AA improved even marginally, there's been less and less need to use 400% scaling.
